Privacy & policy

How we handle information when you use Belize Transport public pages — including the optional Near me feature on schedule search.

Approximate location (“Near me”)

When you turn on Near me (From) on the schedule search page, your browser may prompt you for location permission. If you allow it, we use your device’s approximate position only inside your browser to pick the nearest stop name from the list of places that appear in that day’s schedules.

  • Your coordinates are not sent to our servers for this feature.
  • Turning the switch off stops using location for that control; you can always choose From manually in the search bar.
  • You can revoke location access anytime in your browser or device settings.

Schedules & browsing

Viewing timetables and routes does not require an account. Standard web requests (e.g. loading schedule data) may be processed like any normal website visit for reliability and security.

Accounts & sign-in

If you create an account or sign in, authentication and profile data are handled by our identity provider according to their terms and your account settings. Use only official Belize Transport links and keep your login credentials private.

This page summarizes how common features work today. For formal legal notices or data-protection requests, contact the Belize Transport Authority through official channels.
